Loch Morar.
Although just ten meters above sea level, this Loch is the deepest in the British Isles at over a thousand feet. Like many of the West Highland sea lochs it was scoured out by a great glacier, when the area was covered in a 1.300 meters thick ice sheet.

It sports a Monster to rival Nessie - a 13 meter apparition locally known as Mhorag was reported several times in the 1960’s.

The spectacular landscape of mountains, lochs and islands remains wild and unexplored, even by the Scots themselves. Many who have visited this unspoilt area consider it to be the most beautiful in Scotland.
