Lots of water is needed when hiking in Greenland.
Here I am drinking some water. Because of the low humidity, you get very thirsty whenever you walk or do anything hard physical work.
We are still walking towards the inland ice. In the background to the left, you can see Sugar Loaf (see next picture), and behind me is Watson River. It leads the water from the ice to the fjord.
When we held brakes they only lasted two or three minutes, because of the many mosquitoes. That's why I don't take of my rucksack. I got more than a hundred mosquito bites the first day. We used some mosquito repellent. It helped some, but not enough.
