Trabi-safari
This is the unchanged version of the most sold Trabant-model of the former GDR. It was the most common vehicle in East Germany, and was also exported to countries both inside and outside the communist bloc. The main selling points were that it had room for four adults and luggage in a compact, light and durable shell; it was fast (when introduced); and it was durable. The Trabant was East Germany's answer to the VW Beetle — a "people's car" but even though it sold almost 3.100.000 copies, Time Magazine rated it as one of the 50 worst cars ever made. If you want to drive it yourself during the streets of Berlin, you can rent it at http://www.trabi-safari.de
