Jens Bangs Stenhus in Aalborg.
Downtown in Aalborg City, you find Jens Bangs Stenhus. This is one of the finest example of renaissance domestic architecture in Northern Europe, built in 1624 by the wealthy merchant Jens Bang. Even he was one of the wealthiest people in Aalborg, he never was a part of the city hall. Therefore you can see a stone carving on the end of the house, which shows his face putting out his tongue.

For over 300 years, the building has been the home of Aalborgs oldest pharmacy, and in all that time the house has never been sold.

The picture was taken April 2002.
